Various Black and Whites

  1. Ah, much to see in these...where to start? What's the lion made of? It looks like a gold medallion. Love the textures and contrasts of the bags hanging against the textured wall. Leather bags, huh? What are the men about? They have on uniforms and they're armed. What does it mean? The thing that looks like a trumpet..a something graph...is exquisite!! That's an old record player for the 1920s I believe. What did you see when you took the picture of the trees on the bottom left? The man looks like a mix between an Arab and an African. As always these are interesting!!!

  2. I kept coming to tell you something but every time I came to your blog to tell you, I'd forget and have to exit. But I got smart and wrote it down, lol, I was going to suggest that you create a playlist that you feel goes with your photos. You know how it is to look at images and music with them seems to bring out the emotion behind the photos. Perhaps that will add a certain something to your photos. You said that if you can get people to see your photos and feel an emotion of a kind then that's your reward. I would love to hear what sounds you hear when you post your pictures or the songs that you think bring out the emotion the pictures conveys. Am I making any sense? Anyway, it's just a thought and nothing more.

  3. The music player did something magical to the pictures. As soon as I turned it on the first photo changed before my heart (instead of my eyes). The change of emotion was instantaneous. I would bet your pictures evolve differently throughout this whole process of your time in Saudi Arabia when you listen to music while taking pictures too, don't they? Have you noticed a difference between the pictures you take when you don't listen to music and the ones when you do? Like your eye must be drawn to different things if a certain song is playing in your ears (I suppose an iPod) than if it isn't playing while you're looking around for a shot. Hm. Interesting.

  4. the music was from one of my favorite composers..Ludovico Einaudi, try to look him up and his works...very, very good, it will make you feel relax, at peace and calms your thoughts and emotions..i suppose ill try that, unfortunately my ipod nano fell inside the washing machine and it's not working anymore...wahhh...but i'd like to try that...and then maybe something magical would happen..

  5. I guarantee it will. Music is a gift from God and meant to evoke emotions and thoughts we wouldn't normally have, don't you agree? Next time you do your laundry take your iPod off, silly goose.
